Maureen Coyne (Cornélie Morisot/Marie-Antoinette/Angelica Kauffman) A former member of the One Act Theatre of San Francisco, Maureen recently played Edna in Albee's A Delicate Balance, and Monica in Noël Coward's Present Laughter, both with the Actors' Ensemble in Berkeley. This past spring she played four parts in Clare Boothe Luce's The Women--Miss Fordyce the governess, a Fitter in a dress shop, Maggie the cook, and a Society Woman--at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward. About fifteen years ago, she was Roy Cohn's mother in a Joel Ensana's Roy! at Theatre Rhinoceros.
Nicole Daenzer (Stage Manager) Nicole is rarely able to work in theatre these days, as she is currently working towards her BA in Classics at San Francisco State. Most recently she worked with Eastenders Repertory on last fall's 100 Years of Political Theatre, stage managing The Bedbug and doing various tech-ish things for The Informer and Statements. This is her first time working with the Bella Union Theatre Company.
Jennifer Daly (Lighting Designer) has worked in many technical capacities over the past 12 years but has only recently begun branching out into more artistic areas of theatre. Jennifer designed lights for Stage Door Conservatorys Grease in July, and WWJD? and A Knights Escape with Eastenders Repertory Company (ERC) last spring. Past ERC productions include Three Hotels, [sic], Twylas Story, and several one-act festivals. Jennifer has been an ERC member since 1998 and serves as ERCs Membership Director. She has also recently worked with The Actors Collective, Three Wise Monkeys, and New Conservatory. This is Jennifers first production with Bella Union.
Daria Hepps (Elisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun) is a founding member of Bella Union Theatre Company. A longtime Bay Area resident, Daria has acted and directed frequently in the Bay Area. With Bella Union, she directed La Ronde and a reading of The Lysistrata, as well as acting in both plays. She also appeared in Bella Union's Demon_Industry. By day, Daria is the Development Director for Aurora Theatre Company in Berkeley. She thanks Christine URen for writing such a wonderful part and a beautiful play.
Bruce Lundy (Edgar Degas/Albert, a Dandy/Monsieur Pierre/Revolutionary Pamphleteer) is glad to be working on another exciting new play with Bella Union Theatre Company, after having played the villainous Quarrel in their 2002 production of Demon_Industry. He was seen earlier this year as Thomas Mendip in San Francisco Free Civic Theatres production of The Ladys Not for Burning, and prior to that he played Demetrius in Kenneth Kellehers production of A Midsummer Nights Dream, a show which originated at Shakespeare at Stinson and later traveled to Florence, Italy, for a three-week run. Other recent shows include A Man of No Importance, Twelfth Night, She Stoops to Conquer, City of Angels and The Last Night of Ballyhoo.
Candice M. Milan (Berthe Morisot) just completed a run as Elaine Wheeler in Night Watch for California Conservatory Theatre. A founding member of Bella Union, she has appeared in past productions of La Ronde, Demon Industry; and played the Dark Lady as well as directed, designed set and sound and conceived the script for Devouring Time, an original adaptation she conceived using a selection of Shakespeare's sonnets for the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Other Bay area roles include Boo in Last Night of Ballyhoo, Ellen in LUV, and Lucienne and twelve other characters in a rare production of Ionescos The Killing Game. She has also had the pleasure of helping to develop and perform original theatrical works with Lunatique Fantastique in San Francisco (Executive Order 9066 and Fixed Boundary). She was selected to be in the prestigious "Presidents Class" at the British American Drama Academys Midsummer in Oxford program where she studied high comedy and Shakespeare. Candice has an MFA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Gene Mocsy (Director/Set & Sound Designer) is a founding member of Bella Union Theatre Company. He holds a BA in Dramatic Arts from UC Berkeley. His most recent project with Bella Union was writing and directing Demon_Industry, a supernatural tale set in a video game company. He currently works at Electronic Arts.
Stephen Pawley (Edouard Manet/Jacques-Louis David): Over the past several years Stephen has made frequent appearances on the Bay Area stage with the Aurora Theatre, Word for Word, TheatreWorks, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, San Jose Stage Company, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Valley Shakespeare, Upon These Boards, 42nd Street Moon and Thrillpeddlers, among others. Favorites include the US Premiere of Andre Previns Good Companions, Phillie Phillips in Problem Child, Mister Bungee in A New Brain and Squeak in Billy Budd. In addition to being very active in the local independent film community, Stephen also lends his talents to the Chinatown Community Development Center, a local non-profit organization he is very proud to be a part of.
Craig Souza (Eugène Manet/Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Le Brun) is pleased to be working with Bella Union at the Rhino Studio. This is Craigs first time working with Bella Union and his second time performing at Rhino, where he also serves as a member of the Board. Craig is a Theatre Arts graduate of UC Santa Cruz (GO SLUGS!) and has been living in San Francisco ever since. Craig most recently appeared in Eastenders Repertory Companys world premiere of WWJD? at the Ashby Stage and is an active member of Eastenders. Craig has also worked with Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Theatre Artists of Marin and San Jose Stage Company among others.
Jeffrey Trescott (Random Pedestrian/Gabriel Briard/Servant/ Revolutionary Pamphleteer) has been acting in the Bay Area since moving here with a bunch of his theatre buddies in 1981. Of over 80 roles, some of his favorites are George in Who's Afraid or Virginia Woolfe, Rick in The Nerd, and the ghost of John Barrymore in the West Coast premier of I Hate Hamlet. He drives a red Corvette and has a degree in mathematics from Harvard.
Christine U'Ren (Author/Costume & Graphic Designer/Supercilious Lady-in-Waiting/Revolutionary Pamphleteer) is a founding member of Bella Union Theatre Company. She has a BA in English from UC Berkeley, but most of her writing experience came from working on radio dramas at KALX 90.7 FM. She has also studied Art and Art History at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, City College of San Francisco, and UC Berkeley. She currently works as a graphic designer. Christine would like to thank everyone who helped her with this project, especially the other members of Bella Union, who made her do a thousand rewrites, and her overworked husband.
Terri Varela (Edma Morisot Pontillon/Rosalie Boquet Filleul) has played numerous roles throughout the East Bay and Los Angeles areas, recently performing a solo show in Canada for the Vancouver Fringe Festival entitled, To Dye A Thousand Cuts. She has also performed this story at the Marsh here in San Francisco. This is her first time working with the Bella Union Theatre Company.
