Gene MocsyGENE MOCSY ("Count"/Sound Design) is a writer, actor and designer. He performed most recently in The Sneeze at the Exit Theater. At KALX-FM he worked as a DJ, reporter and radio drama writer/producer/ actor. Mr. Mocsy has a BA in Dramatic Arts from UC Berkeley, where he received an Eisner prize for set design/acting. He earned a screenwriting certificate from UCLA in 1998, and is currently completing an MFA in 3D computer animation at San Francisco's Academy of Art College. Mr. Mocsy is busy writing a play about the computer game industry, and he hopes to merge technology, music and new millennium stories into a fresh form of interactive theater.


Dennis O'BrienDENNIS O'BRIEN ("Soldier") is thrilled to be performing with Goat Island. He has most recently appeared as Bob Acres in The Rivals with Actor's Theatre of Sonoma, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet with Theatre on San Pedro Square, and Martin in Fool for Love with the Paducah Mining Company. Dennis has performed around the country with The Imagination Theatre Company and California Theatre Center. He would like to thank the Sweet Young Thing for all her love and support.


MARC OLANO (Lighting Design) has been involved in the theatre since 1983. He has worked for producing and presenting organizations in Maryland, Illinois, North Carolina and California. Venues include The Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, University of North Carolina's Memorial Hall, San Francisco's Exit Theatre, and various concert arenas and amphitheatres. Mr. Olano has a broad knowledge of technical theatre. His specialties include rigging and lighting design. He is most proud of the work he did for On the Verge and a Kabuki adaptation of Medea. Currently, Mr. Olano is an engineer and programmer at SGI in Mountain View.


 
   

Nick SholleyNICK SHOLLEY ("Young Gentleman") was last seen in Milpitas reenacting Grimm Brothers fairy tales for several handfuls of people. Prior to that adventurous commute, he played Parolles in All's Well That Ends Well at the Kilowatt in San Francisco. Last fall he played a lovesick graduate student in the US premiere of Deep Space at the Exit Theatre. He lives, acts and writes in San Francisco, where several of his short plays have been performed at Playground, an emerging playwrights' program at A Travelling Jewish Theatre. He first played with La Ronde mates Daria and Dennis in the Entree to Murder shows A Deadly Briefcase and Death of a Slim Man way back in the 90's. He studies with San Francisco acting coach Cyril Clayton.


Paul G. SmithPAUL G. SMITH ("Husband") recently appeared in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in Half Moon Bay. Prior to that, he was seen in The Tempest for Calaveras Rep, The Little Foxes for Palo Alto Playhouse, and Misalliance at Studio ACT. He last worked for Ms. Hepps in The Sneeze and delights in being invited to work for her again.


Donna TrousdaleDONNA TROUSDALE ("Maid") was last seen in the Ambit Theatre production of The Rape Poems. She has also appeared as Maggie Saunders in Lend Me A Tenor at This Side of the Hill Players and in the title role of Hampstead Players' traveling children's theatre production of Pinocchio. Donna wants to deeply thank her new husband, Glenn, for his support throughout this show, which never wavered despite her "promiscuity" on stage!


CHRISTINE U'REN (Costume Design/Graphic Design) is a painter and a graphic designer. She has BA in English from UC Berkeley, where she minored in art, and a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, from which she received two Graduate Grants and two scholarships. Most recently, she has exhibited at SF Open Studios, the online venue Junius Gallery, and Artists at Work gallery in Pacific Heights. Theater design credits include backdrops for John Fisher's The Joy of Gay Sex, and puppets for Lorne Buchman's The Faust Project. Ms. U'Ren worked for many years as an actor, director and writer of radio plays for KALX-FM. She was heard regularly with Shoestring Radio Theatre, and was a co-founder of the long-running serial Ticket to Adventure and the omnibus program The Toy Box. Ms. U'Ren currently works as a graphic designer at Electronics For Imaging in Foster City.


JOLIE VELAZQUEZ (Costume Consultant) Lifetime seamstress and costume enthusiast, member of Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild. Has taught successful classes in crochet, knitting, embroidery, and lace-making.
